Ingredients

  • 3.5 pounds of Stewing Beef cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 2 Tablespoon sunflower oil.
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon onion Powder
  • I tablespoon garlic Powder
  • 2 cans of tomato paste 5.5oz
  • 2 cups of beef broth
  • 2 cups of water
  • Stage 2
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 jalapeno Chilli
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 packet 'Sazon Goya" can be found at Highland Farms
  • 2 tablespoons of ancho chile Powder
  • 2 table spoons of cocoa chile powder- McCormick brand is the one I use.
  • 2 tablespoons of chipotle chile powder
  • 2 tablespoons of mexican chile powder
  • Stage 3
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of white pepper
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Utensils
  • 1 large Pot with lid
  • 1 large frying pan
  • Measuring spoons
  • Measuring Cup
  • Knife
  • Can opener

Method

  • Brown The meat with the 2tbs of oil in a large frying pan. Drain meat.
  • In the large Pot add the meat and add stage 1 & 2 ingredients, bring to a boil cover and then reduce heat to a simmer for 45 min.
  • Add Stage 3 Ingredients, mix well, cover and let simmer for another 45 min.
  • Remove Chili from heat, let stand for 10 minutes.
  • Serve with bread or a side of beans.
