Ingredients
- 4 qt. thinly sliced squash
- 5 onions
- 1/4 c. salt
- 5 c. sugar
- 3 c. vinegar
- 1 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
- 1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
- 1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
Method
- Prepare squash, onions and salt and cover with ice for 3 hours.
- Heat the sugar, vinegar, mustard seed, turmeric and celery seed, then add squash and onions.
- Bring to a boil, put in jars and seal.
