Ingredients

  • 1 pastry shortcut
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 5/8 cup cooked ham cubed
  • 5 asparagus green
  • 1 tomato sliced
  • 1 tablespoon breadcrumbs
  • 3 sprigs fresh thyme
  • turmeric
  • salt
  • ground black pepper

Method

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Roll out the dough and spread in a pie pan. Sprinkle the bottom of the pan with bread crumbs.
  • Cook the peeled asparagus for 4 minutes in a saucepan of salted boiling water.
  • Drain and refresh in cold water.
  • Whisk the eggs in a bowl, add milk, salt, pepper, thyme leaves, and a pinch of turmeric.
  • Place the ham on the bottom of the pie pan, pour in the egg/milk mixture, then add asparagus and tomato slices.
  • Bake for 35 minutes.
