Ingredients
- 1 pastry shortcut
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 5/8 cup cooked ham cubed
- 5 asparagus green
- 1 tomato sliced
- 1 tablespoon breadcrumbs
- 3 sprigs fresh thyme
- turmeric
- salt
- ground black pepper
Method
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Roll out the dough and spread in a pie pan. Sprinkle the bottom of the pan with bread crumbs.
- Cook the peeled asparagus for 4 minutes in a saucepan of salted boiling water.
- Drain and refresh in cold water.
- Whisk the eggs in a bowl, add milk, salt, pepper, thyme leaves, and a pinch of turmeric.
- Place the ham on the bottom of the pie pan, pour in the egg/milk mixture, then add asparagus and tomato slices.
- Bake for 35 minutes.
