Ingredients

  • 1 bunch fresh spinach
  • 1 can sliced water chestnuts
  • 1 can bean sprouts
  • 3 to 4 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
  • 1 red onion, sliced thin
  • 1/2 lb. bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. catsup
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 c. salad oil
  • 1/3 c. red wine vinegar

Method

  • Clean spinach and partially dry.
  • Add water chestnuts, bean sprouts, eggs, onion and crumbled bacon.
  • Combine sugar, catsup, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper to taste, salad oil and vinegar and shake well or put in blender.
  • Do not add dressing until just before serving.
