Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon chopped walnuts
  • 4 cups fresh spinach leaves, trimmed and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fat-free honey-Dijon dressing
  • 1 ripe pear, unpeeled, cored, and thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon crumbled blue cheese

Method

  • Place a heavy skillet over high heat until hot; add walnuts, and cook, stirring constantly, 1 minute or until toasted. Set aside.
  • Combine spinach and dressing; toss well. Arrange spinach mixture evenly on 5 individual salad plates. Arrange pear slices evenly over spinach mixture; sprinkle salads evenly with blue cheese and walnuts.
