Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 8 ounces, weight Chopped Bacon
  • 1- 3/4 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
  • 3 cloves Minced Garlic
  • 6 cups Marinara Sauce
  • 32 ounces, weight Ricotta Cheese
  • 1- 1/2 cup Shredded Parmesan Cheese
  • 4 whole Large Egg Yolks
  • 3 Tablespoons Chopped Parsley
  • 3 Tablespoons Fresh Chopped Basil
  • 1 box Lasagne Noodles
  • 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add the bacon and saute until golden brown.
  • Add the red pepper flakes and the garlic and saute until tender.
  • Add the marinara sauce and bring the sauce to a simmer, stirring often.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta, Parmesan, egg yolks, basil, and parsley.
  • Layer sauce, noodles and cheese in a greased baking dish, repeat.
  • Top with Mozzarella cheese and bake 30 minutes until bubbly.
