- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 8 ounces, weight Chopped Bacon
- 1- 3/4 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
- 3 cloves Minced Garlic
- 6 cups Marinara Sauce
- 32 ounces, weight Ricotta Cheese
- 1- 1/2 cup Shredded Parmesan Cheese
- 4 whole Large Egg Yolks
- 3 Tablespoons Chopped Parsley
- 3 Tablespoons Fresh Chopped Basil
- 1 box Lasagne Noodles
- 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
Method
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add the bacon and saute until golden brown.
- Add the red pepper flakes and the garlic and saute until tender.
- Add the marinara sauce and bring the sauce to a simmer, stirring often.
- In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta, Parmesan, egg yolks, basil, and parsley.
- Layer sauce, noodles and cheese in a greased baking dish, repeat.
- Top with Mozzarella cheese and bake 30 minutes until bubbly.
