Ingredients

  • 2 apples
  • 2 qt. apple cider
  • 8 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tsp. whole cloves
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1 orange
  • 1 lemon
  • 1/4 c. lemon juice

Method

  • Core apples and slice into rings.
  • In a large pan, combine cider, cinnamon, cloves, apple rings and raisins.
  • Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, until apples are fork tender.
  • Thinly slice the orange and lemon.
  • Add orange and lemon slices and the lemon juice to the apple mixture.
  • Allow to stand for 5 minutes.
  • Pour into punch bowl and serve warm or chilled. Makes 1/2 gallon.
