Ingredients
- 1/4 c. fat or margarine
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 medium green pepper, chopped
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 c. raw rice
- 2 cans tomato sauce
- 1 3/4 c. hot water
- 1 tsp. mustard (if you like)
- 1 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
Method
- Melt fat in skillet.
- Add onion, green pepper, beef and rice; stir over high heat until lightly browned.
- Add tomato sauce and remaining ingredients; mix well.
- Bring quickly to a boil.
- Cover tightly; simmer for 25 minutes.
