Ingredients

  • 1 small onion
  • 1 small green pepper
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 cans chunky tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • Minute rice
  • American cheese

Method

  • Cook onion and green pepper in skillet with small amount of margarine.
  • In skillet, brown ground beef.
  • Add onion and green pepper, salt, oregano and sauce.
  • Cook rice as directed on box. Layer rice, meat mixture and top with sliced cheese.
  • Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Remove.
  • Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Serve with rolls.
  • Makes 6 servings.
