Ingredients

  • 1 to 2 lb. hamburger
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 can whole tomatoes
  • 2 cans tomato sauce
  • 1/2 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 1/2 tsp. parsley flakes
  • 1/2 tsp. red pepper or cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 c. tomato ketchup
  • pinch of sugar and hot sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • Melt butter in pan.
  • Brown hamburger, onion and green pepper. Drain off some grease, then add all other tomato ingredients and spices.
  • Cook on medium to low heat for 2 to 3 hours.
