- 1 to 2 lb. hamburger
- 1 stick margarine
- 1/2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 can whole tomatoes
- 2 cans tomato sauce
- 1/2 green pepper, chopped
- 1 small can tomato paste
- 1/2 tsp. parsley flakes
- 1/2 tsp. red pepper or cayenne pepper
- 1/2 c. tomato ketchup
- pinch of sugar and hot sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Melt butter in pan.
- Brown hamburger, onion and green pepper. Drain off some grease, then add all other tomato ingredients and spices.
- Cook on medium to low heat for 2 to 3 hours.
