Ingredients
- 3 c. sugar
- 2 sticks butter
- 6 eggs, separated
- 3 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. soda
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- juice of 1 lemon
Method
- Cream butter and sugar until very creamy.
- Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Sift flour three times.
- Add soda to sour cream blending together.
- Add flour and sour cream mixture alternately to the sugar mixture.
- Blend well. Add flavorings.
- Beat egg whites until stiff, then fold into mixture.
- Pour into well-greased, lightly floured tube pan or loaf pan.
- Bake in 350° oven.
