Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. sour cream
  • Nutty Cinnamon Topping
  • powdered sugar

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Prepare a 7 x 3 inch loaf pan. Sift flour with salt and soda, set aside.
  • Beat butter with sugar with electric mixer till light and airy, add vanilla and egg, beat till fluffy.
  • Stir in 1/2 flour mixture, beat until smooth.
  • Add sour cream, beat until smooth, follow with other 1/2 flour, beat 30 seconds until smooth.
  • Spread 1/2 batter in pan, sprinkle with 1/2 topping, repeat.
  • Bake 30-35 minutes till pulls away from pan and springs back lightly when touched.
