Ingredients
- Single pie crust
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 c. dairy sour cream
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 medium size apples
Method
- Sift flour, sugar, salt and nutmeg into a large bowl.
- Stir in beaten egg, sour cream and vanilla.
- Wash, pare, quarter, core and slice apples thinly (about 2 cups).
- Fold into sour cream mixture; spoon into unbaked pastry shell.
- Bake in a pre-heated hot oven (400°) for 15 minutes.
- Lower heat to moderate (350°); bake 30 minutes longer.
