Ingredients

  • 2 TBS unsalted butter
  • 1 large Onion, sliced
  • 1/2 lb or 8oz of shiitake, oyster or portobello mushrooms, roughly chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • 1 Cup Vegetable Broth
  • 1 TBS
  • 1.5 TBS Flour
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 1/2 C Heavy Cream
  • 2.5-3 lb Beef Round or Beef Cubes
  • 1 lb or 16 oz of White or Brown Mushrooms, sliced (not too thin, they will shrink a bit)
  • 1/2 Cup Cognac
  • 1 C Beef Broth
  • 2 large Onions, thinly sliced
