Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Black Angus
  • 1/2 Medium Yellow Onion, Coarsely Chopped
  • 1/4 Green Bell Pepper, Coarsely Chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoons Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoons Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 3 Tablespoons Steak Sauce
  • 4 Sandwich Rolls, Split Sandwich Style
  • 4 slices Cheese, I Used Provolone

Method

  • 1.
  • Using your hands, crumble the beef into a large skillet.
  • Add the onion, bell pepper, salt, pepper and garlic powder.
  • Cover with a lid and cook on medium heat, stirring occasionally, breaking the meat up more as it cooks.
  • Continue cooking with the lid on the pan until the meat is browned and the onions are tender, approximately 10 minutes.
  • 2.
  • Stir the sauces into the meat, making sure to thoroughly distribute.
  • Cover and reduce heat to low, simmering for 5 minutes.
  • 3.
  • Spoon meat onto the bottom half of each roll and top with a slice of cheese.
  • Place the open faced sandwiches on a baking tray and place it under a broiler for 30 seconds, or less.
  • You just want to heat it long enough for the cheese to melt.
  • Top with the other half of the bun and enjoy!
