- 1/4 Green Bell Pepper, Coarsely Chopped
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 1/4 teaspoons Ground Black Pepper
- 1/4 teaspoons Garlic Powder
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
- 3 Tablespoons Steak Sauce
- 4 Sandwich Rolls, Split Sandwich Style
- 4 slices Cheese, I Used Provolone
Method
- 1.
- Using your hands, crumble the beef into a large skillet.
- Add the onion, bell pepper, salt, pepper and garlic powder.
- Cover with a lid and cook on medium heat, stirring occasionally, breaking the meat up more as it cooks.
- Continue cooking with the lid on the pan until the meat is browned and the onions are tender, approximately 10 minutes.
- 2.
- Stir the sauces into the meat, making sure to thoroughly distribute.
- Cover and reduce heat to low, simmering for 5 minutes.
- 3.
- Spoon meat onto the bottom half of each roll and top with a slice of cheese.
- Place the open faced sandwiches on a baking tray and place it under a broiler for 30 seconds, or less.
- You just want to heat it long enough for the cheese to melt.
- Top with the other half of the bun and enjoy!
