Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 16 ounces diced tomatoes
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 12-1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (depending on how spicy you like it)
  • 1 tablespoon fennel seed
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 diced onion
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 12 cup red wine
  • salt and pepper

Method

  • Mix pork, chili powder, cayenne pepper, fennel seed, and dried oregano.
  • Brown pork mixture (if it is lean pork, add some olive oil to the pan).
  • Remove pork from pan and saute garlic and onions in about a tablespoon of olive oil (about 2-3 minutes).
  • Add pork mixture to pan and add the rest of the ingredients including tomatoes.
  • Simmer 20-30 minutes.
