- 1 lb ground pork
- 16 ounces diced tomatoes
- 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 12-1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (depending on how spicy you like it)
- 1 tablespoon fennel seed
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 diced onion
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 12 cup red wine
- salt and pepper
Method
- Mix pork, chili powder, cayenne pepper, fennel seed, and dried oregano.
- Brown pork mixture (if it is lean pork, add some olive oil to the pan).
- Remove pork from pan and saute garlic and onions in about a tablespoon of olive oil (about 2-3 minutes).
- Add pork mixture to pan and add the rest of the ingredients including tomatoes.
- Simmer 20-30 minutes.
