- 1 Tbsp. oleo or butter
- 1/3 c. dry bread crumbs
- 2 Tbsp. oleo or butter
- 1/4 c. chopped green onions
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/4 tsp. paprika
- dash of pepper
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- 12 oz. can Green Giant Niblets whole kernel golden sweet corn
Method
- Melt 1 tablespoon butter in medium skillet. Stir in bread crumbs and cook over medium heat until golden brown, stirring constantly. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Melt 2 tablespoons butter in same skillet. Add onions; cook and stir until tender. Stir in flour, salt, dry mustard, paprika and pepper.
- Cook until mixture is bubbly, stirring constantly. Gradually add milk and egg. Cook until mixture boils and thickens, stirring constantly. Stir in corn and cook until thoroughly heated.
- Sprinkle with bread crumbs.
