Ingredients

  • 1/2 (15 oz.) pkg. folded refrigerated unbaked pie crust (1 crust)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 c. butter, melted and cooled
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. salted mixed nuts, coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 c. miniature semi-sweet chocolate pieces
  • 1/3 c. miniature semi-sweet chocolate pieces
  • 1 Tbsp. shortening

Method

  • Let refrigerated pie crust sit at room temperature according to package directions.
  • Ease pastry into an 11-inch tart pan with removable bottom.
  • Trim pastry even with the rim of the pan.
  • Do not prick pastry.
