- 1/2 (15 oz.) pkg. folded refrigerated unbaked pie crust (1 crust)
- 3 eggs
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/3 c. butter, melted and cooled
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. salted mixed nuts, coarsely chopped
- 1/2 c. miniature semi-sweet chocolate pieces
- 1/3 c. miniature semi-sweet chocolate pieces
- 1 Tbsp. shortening
Method
- Let refrigerated pie crust sit at room temperature according to package directions.
- Ease pastry into an 11-inch tart pan with removable bottom.
- Trim pastry even with the rim of the pan.
- Do not prick pastry.
