Ingredients

  • 1 cup Butter Flavor Crisco
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 12 cup walnuts
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Method

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Microwave crisco for 60 seconds or until melted.
  • Set crisco aside to cool.
  • Beat two eggs in a large bowl.
  • Add flour, sugar, walnuts, and crisco.
  • Mix.
  • Slowly add water and mix while adding.
  • Dough should be thin, but not too thin--a little thicker than frosting.
  • Add chocolate chips.
  • Place heaping spoonfuls of dough onto greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 9-11 minutes.
  • Cookies will be brown on botom, but may have a shiny spot on top.
  • Better to undercook than to overcook.
  • Remove cookies from oven and place into freezer.
  • Remove from freezer after 5-10 minutes and enjoy.
  • Yields about 2 dozen 3 inch cookies.
