Ingredients

  • 6 cups Old Fashioned Oats
  • 1/4 cups Flax Seed (optional)
  • 2/3 cups Honey
  • 1/2 cups Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoons Ground Nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoons Ground Cloves
  • 1 cup Chopped Nuts And/or Dried Fruit

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 325 F. Have ready a rimmed cookie sheet lined with parchment paper or Silpat.
  • In a large bowl, mix together thoroughly all the ingredients except the chopped nuts/fruit. Make sure all the oats are coated with the honey mixture. Spread the granola onto the prepared baking sheet in an even layer.
  • Bake for 15 minutes. Remove pan from the oven and stir the oats well. Put pan back in the oven and bake for another 10-15 minutes, until golden. Keep an eye on it, because it can burn quickly.
  • Remove pan from oven and set it on a rack. Let the oats cool until room temperature. Stir in chopped nuts and dried fruit, then store in an airtight container up to 2 weeks.
