Ingredients
- 6 cups Old Fashioned Oats
- 1/4 cups Flax Seed (optional)
- 2/3 cups Honey
- 1/2 cups Oil
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoons Ground Nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoons Ground Cloves
- 1 cup Chopped Nuts And/or Dried Fruit
Method
- Preheat the oven to 325 F. Have ready a rimmed cookie sheet lined with parchment paper or Silpat.
- In a large bowl, mix together thoroughly all the ingredients except the chopped nuts/fruit. Make sure all the oats are coated with the honey mixture. Spread the granola onto the prepared baking sheet in an even layer.
- Bake for 15 minutes. Remove pan from the oven and stir the oats well. Put pan back in the oven and bake for another 10-15 minutes, until golden. Keep an eye on it, because it can burn quickly.
- Remove pan from oven and set it on a rack. Let the oats cool until room temperature. Stir in chopped nuts and dried fruit, then store in an airtight container up to 2 weeks.
