- 2 qt. water
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1 whole thinly sliced lemon
- 2 cans tomatoes
- 2 cloves garlic, sliced
- 2 c. diced bacon
- 2 c. chopped onion
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 15 drops Tabasco sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire
- 1/4 tsp. curry powder
- 1 tsp. celery seed
- 1 (14 oz.) bottle catsup
Method
- Into a heavy kettle, put first 5 ingredients.
- Brown bacon and onion in frying pan.
- Add remaining ingredients to kettle.
- Cook at boil for 2 hours.
- Add 5 pounds raw peeled shrimp.
- Cook gently for 1 hour.
- Add 3/4 cup to 1 cup sherry and thicken with cracker crumbs.
- Serve over cooked rice with grated, shake on spaghetti cheese on top (to taste).
