Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless round or sirloin steak, cut into strips or chunks
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 c. beef broth
  • 1 green pepper, cut into strips or chucks
  • 1 red pepper, cut into strips or 1 can bean sprouts, do not drain
  • 3 to 6 tbsp. soy sauce (depending on your taste)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 1/2 c. minute rice

Method

  • Put oil in pan, add steak strips.
  • Brown.
  • When steak is fully browned, add cornstarch to pan.
  • Mix until cornstarch has soaked up all juices.
  • Add beef broth, green and red pepper strips, bean sprouts, soy sauce and pepper.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • When boiling, add minute rice.
  • Remove from heat and cover pan.
  • Let stand 5 minutes or until rice is fully cooked.
  • Serve.
