Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 2/3 c. minced onion
  • 1/2 c. fresh bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. ground ginger
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. beef broth
  • Sesame-Sour Cream Sauce
  • toasted sesame seed

Method

  • Combine ground beef, onion, bread crumbs, egg, milk, salt, pepper and ginger in a large bowl. Shape into 1-inch meatballs. Heat oil and butter over medium heat in skillet.
  • Add meatballs and brown on all sides.
  • Add broth. Cover and simmer 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Prepare Sesame-Sour Cream Sauce.
  • Place hot meatballs in serving bowl; top with sauce.
  • Sprinkle with toasted sesame seed. Garnish as desired.
