Ingredients

  • 2 large bay leaves
  • flour (browned)
  • 1/2 lb. shrimp (per person)
  • 1 large can crab meat
  • 1/2 tsp. parsley flakes
  • salt and pepper
  • celery, chopped
  • onions, chopped
  • green pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 can okra
  • tomato paste
  • cayenne pepper (dash)

Method

  • Boil shrimp (shelled and deveined) until they turn pink (with crab boil) with water well over shrimp.
  • Brown flour until it is almost burned.
  • Add all seasonings to flour.
  • Then by teaspoon, put seasoning and flour in shrimp water with shrimp (remove crab boil bag).
  • Stir constantly so it won't lump.
