Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 3 c. milk
- 6 medium potatoes, pared and thinly sliced
- 2 Tbsp. onion, chopped
Method
- Make white sauce of first five ingredients (shredded cheese may be added to sauce).
- Place half of the potatoes in greased 2-quart casserole.
- Cover with half the onion and then half the sauce. Repeat the layers.
- Cover and bake at 350° for about 1 hour. Uncover and bake 30 minutes longer.
