Ingredients
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 3 c. milk
- 4 c. thinly sliced, raw potatoes
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 lb. thinly sliced salami, quartered or cut into strips
Method
- Melt butter in saucepan over low heat.
- Blend in flour and seasonings.
- Add milk, stirring constantly.
- Cook until sauce is smooth and thickened.
- Arrange alternate layers of potatoes, onion and salami in a buttered 2-quart casserole, covering each layer of potatoes and meat with hot sauce.
