Ingredients

  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. celery salt
  • 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1/2 lb. cheese
  • 1 bunch carrots, sliced and cooked
  • 1 c. dry bread crumbs

Method

  • Preheat oven to 300°.
  • Brown onion in margarine in skillet. Add flour, celery salt, salt and dry mustard.
  • Stir in milk and cook until thickened.
  • Add cheese and stir to melt.
  • Add cooked carrots and pour into buttered casserole.
  • Top with bread crumbs and bake at 300° for 45 minutes.
