Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 c. onion, chopped
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 can water (paste can)
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. basil leaves
  • 1/2 tsp. ground oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 lb. smoked turkey sausage, cut in 1/2-inch slices
  • 1 (7 oz.) pkg. spaghetti, cooked

Method

  • Heat oil in large skillet.
  • Saute pepper and onion.
  • Add tomato paste, water and spices, mixing well.
  • Add sausage and cover skillet.
  • Simmer 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Serve over spaghetti. Serves 4.
