Ingredients

  • 150 g sausage mince
  • 1 small onion, grated
  • 1 tablespoon barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • 1 sheet ready-rolled puff pastry
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten

Method

1. Preheat oven to moderate 180°C. Line an oven tray with aluminium foil. Brush the foil with oil.

2. Combine sausage mince, onion, barbecue sauce and breadcrumbs in a medium mixing bowl. Using your hands, mix until well combined.

3. Cut the pastry sheet in half lengthways. Divide the mince mixture into two equal portions. Place one portion lengthways down the centre of each pastry sheet. Roll up and brush edges with egg to seal.

4. With seam-side down, cut each roll into two 12 cm lengths. Place on tray, bake for 25 minutes, until pastry is crisp and golden. Serve with tomato sauce.
