Ingredients

  • 1 lb. bulk sausage
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
  • 6 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 qt. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • dash of hot pepper sauce

Method

  • Cook crumbled sausage; drain on paper towels.
  • Stir in onion; cook until transparent.
  • Stir in flour and a little of the milk. Stir and cook over medium heat for 6 minutes.
  • Stir in the rest of the milk.
  • Add seasonings; cook until thickened.
  • Serve over fresh baked biscuits.
  • Enjoy.
