Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. (1 1/2 c.) red beans
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 Tbsp. fat
- 1/2 c. onion, chopped
- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed tomato soup
- 1 to 2 Tbsp. hot chili powder or to taste
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- dash of red pepper sauce or to taste
Method
- Wash beans and soak overnight.
- Cook slowly until done.
- Brown meat in fat.
- Add beans and enough water to make 1 cup liquid. Add rest of ingredients and simmer 30 minutes.
