Ingredients

  • 1 c. pecans, broken in small chunks
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1 c. confectioners sugar
  • 2 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 2 tsp. pure vanilla

Method

  • Cream margarine and shortening until smooth.
  • Add vanilla. Beat in confectioners sugar gradually.
  • Beat in flour gradually. Use hands to mix in pecans which have been chopped or broken coarsely.
  • Roll in cocoon shapes and bake on ungreased cookie sheet, 15 to 20 minutes until light brown at 350°.
  • Roll in confectioners sugar just before serving.
