Ingredients

  • 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into strips
  • 3 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. sherry
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 pound fresh broccoli or possibly asparagus
  • 1 med. onion, sliced
  • 4-6 ounce. fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1 teaspoon Accent
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method

  • Marinate the steak for several hrs in a combination of the soy sauce, sherry, sugar and cornstarch.
  • Keep turning to coat the meat.
  • Cut the broccoli or possibly asparagus diagonally in small pcs.
  • Drop in boiling water for 2 min.
  • Drain under cool water.
  • In a large skillet or possibly wok, heat 1/2 c. oil and saute/fry the meat, onions and mushrooms for 1 minute.
  • Add in the broccoli or possibly asparagus.
  • Add in the Accent and the salt.
  • Stir 2-3 min.
  • Serve over rice with a citrus salad and crunchy roll.
  • Serves 4.
