Ingredients
- 1 lb. firm day old white sandwich bread
- 12 large eggs
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1/3 c. pure maple syrup
Method
- Grease 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
- Cut bread into cubes.
- Spread half the bread into prepared pan.
- Cut cheese into small cubes and sprinkle half over bread in the pan.
- Repeat, layering with remaining bread and cheese.
- Whisk the eggs, milk and syrup in large bowl.
- Pour over bread.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight. Preheat oven to 350°.
- Bake, uncovered, 30 to 40 minutes, until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
- Let stand 15 minutes. Serve warm with additional syrup.
