Ingredients

  • 1 yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. rum
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/3 c. oil
  • 1 pkg (3 oz.) vanilla instant pudding
  • 1 c. pecans, chopped and divided

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Prepare Bundt pan by wiping inside with shortening and dusting with flour.
  • Sprinkle 1/2 cup chopped pecans in bottom of pan.
  • Mix remaining ingredients together and pour into prepared Bundt pan.
  • Bake about 1 hour until toothpick comes out clean.
  • When cake comes out of oven, poke lots of holes in hot cake with toothpick.
  • Do not remove cake from pan yet.
