Ingredients
- 3 c. cut-up fresh fruit
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. sifted self-rising flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/3 c. soft shortening or cooking oil
- 3 Tbsp. milk
- 1 egg
Method
- Heat oven to 350°.
- Place fruit in square pan, 9 x 9 x 1 3/4-inch or round layer pan, 9 x 1 1/2-inch.
- Sprinkle with mixture of 2/3 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons flour and cinnamon.
- Dot with butter.
- Sift 1 cup flour and 2 tablespoons sugar into bowl; add shortening, milk and egg.
- Stir with fork until thoroughly blended.
