Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. flour
- 1 c. milk
Method
- Beat eggs slightly with sugar and salt; add flour and milk. Beat until smooth.
- Set aside to set.
- This is a must, as it prevents bubbles remaining on top of batter.
- Using a deep frypan, heat oil to 320°.
- Place rosette iron in the oil to be heated. When oil reaches 320° remove iron, tapping it lightly against the edge of pan.
- Dip hot iron into batter, being careful not to spill batter over top edge of iron.
- Immerse rosette in hot oil for at least 20 seconds to obtain light brown color.
