Ingredients
- 1 yeast cake
- 1/2 c. cold water
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 3 c. flour
Method
- Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.
- Cream sugar, shortening and salt.
- Add boiling water.
- Add a little flour to cool.
- Add egg mixture and a little flour.
- Add water, yeast and rest of flour. Roll and put in icebox.
- Remove 1 1/2 to 2 hours before cooking.
