Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 lb lean ground beef
  • 3/4 lb bulk italian sausage
  • 1 egg
  • 1 8 oz. jar pizza sauce
  • 1/4 cup italian style bread crumbs
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cup 6 cheese italian shredded cheese blend
  • 2 cup loosely packed fresh spinach leaves

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • In a large bowl, mix ground beef, sausage, egg, 4 oz.
  • of pizza sauce, bread crumbs and pepper.
  • On aluminum foil, pat mixture to 12x8 inch rectangle.
  • Sprinkle evenly with cheese; gently press into meat.
  • Top with spinach.
  • Starting at short end, roll up tightly, using foil to start roll and tucking in spinach leaves; seal ends.
  • Place seam side down in ungreased 12x8 inch glass baking dish.
  • Bake 1 hour 15 min.
  • Spread remaining pizza sauce over top.
  • Bake 15 min.

  • Let stand 10-15 minutes before serving.
