Ingredients

  • 1 large angel cake, broken in pieces
  • 12 oz. milk chocolate
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 1 pt. whipping cream, whipped
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Method

  • Put cake in large mixing bowl; melt chocolate.
  • Beat egg yolks and blend in chocolate.
  • Beat egg whites quite stiff; add sugar and vanilla.
  • Fold in whipped cream; add nuts.
  • Fold in chocolate mixture well.
  • Pour over cake crumbs.
  • Put in a 9 x 13-inch dripper.
  • Chill at least 2 days before.
  • Put whipped cream on top with tiny cherry bits, if desired.
