- 5 cups Broccoli Florets
- 1/4 cups Olive Oil
- 1 Tablespoon Butter
- 1 Tablespoon Finely Minced Onion
- 1 Tablespoon Fresh Chopped Sage
- 1 Tablespoon Fresh Chopped Thyme
- 1 Tablespoon Fresh Chopped Scallions
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoons White Vinegar
- Salt And Pepper
- 3/4 cups Sour Cream
- Milk, For Thinning
Method
- Toss broccoli with olive oil, salt and pepper (to taste), and bake at 400°F for 20 minutes (or until tender).
- Melt butter over medium heat and saute onion until translucent. Add in herbs and cook another minute, stirring constantly. Add in sugar, vinegar, and pepper.
- Turn heat to low, and gently fold in sour cream. Heat through. Thin with milk, to desired consistency, and serve the sauce over broccoli.
