Ingredients

  • 5 cups Broccoli Florets
  • 1/4 cups Olive Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter
  • 1 Tablespoon Finely Minced Onion
  • 1 Tablespoon Fresh Chopped Sage
  • 1 Tablespoon Fresh Chopped Thyme
  • 1 Tablespoon Fresh Chopped Scallions
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoons White Vinegar
  • Salt And Pepper
  • 3/4 cups Sour Cream
  • Milk, For Thinning

Method

  • Toss broccoli with olive oil, salt and pepper (to taste), and bake at 400°F for 20 minutes (or until tender).
  • Melt butter over medium heat and saute onion until translucent. Add in herbs and cook another minute, stirring constantly. Add in sugar, vinegar, and pepper.
  • Turn heat to low, and gently fold in sour cream. Heat through. Thin with milk, to desired consistency, and serve the sauce over broccoli.
