Ingredients
- 1 (7 1/2 to 8 lb.) leg of lamb
- 2 large garlic cloves, cut into quarters
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. ground pepper
- 2 small onions, halved
- 4 small celery stalks, diced
- 2 small carrots, diced
- 2 c. pitted sour cherries, packed in syrup
Method
- Preheat oven to 400°.
- Make several small slits over the surface of the lamb and insert garlic quarters.
- Blend salt, sugar and black pepper. Rub well into lamb.
