Ingredients
- 1 gal. ripe tomatoes
- 6 large apples
- 6 onions
- 6 bell peppers
- 1/4 c. salt
- 1 qt. water
- 3 c. vinegar
- 5 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. pickling spice
Method
- Chop together tomatoes, apples, onions and peppers.
- Add salt and water.
- Soak for 1 hour.
- Pour in colander and drain.
- Combine vinegar, sugar and pickling spices with tomatoes, apples, onions and peppers.
- Cook for 45 minutes.
- Fill hot jars and seal!
