- 1/4 c. olive oil
- 1 lb. Italian sausage, sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 lb. mushrooms, sliced
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 6 oz. can tomato paste
- 3 c. water
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 lb. pkg. rigatoni
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 lb. Muenster cheese, sliced
Method
- Heat oil in large skillet; saute sausage, onion and garlic until meat is browned.
- Add mushrooms, bay leaf, salt, pepper, tomato paste, water, oregano and sugar.
- Bring to boil.
- Cover; simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
