Ingredients
- 2/3 c. margarine
- 1 c. mashed potatoes
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. scalded milk
- 1 egg or 2 egg whites
- 1 yeast cake or 1 pkg. yeast
- plain flour (enough for stiff dough)
Method
- Add yeast to potato water to dissolve.
- In a good size bowl, put shortening, sugar, salt, mashed potatoes, milk and egg; beat well.
- Add yeast and flour (enough for stiff dough).
- Cover and let set overnight in refrigerator.
- Take out for few minutes.
- Roll out, place on pan.
- Let rise 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
- Bake in 400° oven. Will make about 60 rolls.
