Ingredients
- 1 gal. sliced cucumbers
- 2 large onions
- 1 qt. vinegar
- 3 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. salt
- 1 tsp. mustard
- 1 tsp. celery seed
Method
- Simmer vinegar, sugar, salt, mustard and celery seed for 5 minutes.
- Pour over cucumbers and onions and put in refrigerator. Let set 7 days before eating.
- (If you want crisper pickles, soak cucumbers
- first overnight in 1/2 cup lime and water to cover. Rinse well, then follow recipe.)
