Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 1/2 c. Crisco oil
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp. vinegar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 (1 oz.) bottle red food coloring
Method
- Combine the first five ingredients and sift together.
- Beat eggs and add rest of ingredients.
- Add flour mixture and pour into pan.
- Bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until done. Frost with Red Velvet Icing.
