Ingredients
- 2 c. red or pinto beans
- 2 c. diced ham
- 1 c. thinly sliced smoked sausage
- 1 c. onions
- hot peppers to taste
- salt to taste
Method
- Cook red beans in slow cooker until mostly done.
- Add ham, sausage, onions and peppers and continue cooking until beans are beginning to mush.
- Pour over cooked rice.
- May garnish with hot sauce, if desired.
