Ingredients

  • 1 c. margarine
  • 2/3 c. brown sugar
  • 1 1/3 c. white sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 (16 oz.) bag chocolate chips
  • 1 c. walnuts

Method

  • Cream margarine and sugar until light.
  • Beat in vanilla and eggs until smooth.
  • Mix together dry ingredients.
  • Beat into batter.
  • Add chips and nuts.
  • Drop onto baking sheets 1 heaping tablespoonful at a time.
  • Bake for 12 minutes, turning sheets end for end at half way point.
  • Bake at 325°.
  • After removing from oven, let sit until cookies are firm before putting on racks to cool.
