Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. light brown sugar, packed
  • 3/4 c. oleo or butter
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 (8 oz.) container vanilla yogurt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 c. raspberry jelly

Method

  • Mix the first 4 ingredients until mixture is like fine crumbs. Reserve 1 cup of mixture.
  • To remaining flour mixture add baking powder, soda, salt, yogurt, vanilla and egg.
  • Blend well.
  • Spread batter in 10-inch cake pan, greased and floured.
  • Carefully spoon jelly over top of cake.
  • Sprinkle with walnuts.
  • Sprinkle reserved topping (flour mixture) over nuts.
  • Bake at 375° for 50 minutes or until toothpick in center of cake comes out clean.
